Register with BUDDYGO
First things first, register yourself on the app.
You can use your mobile number or any of your social media logins or Google login to sign up.
Use BUDDYGO to schedule your classes, generate payment plans, receive online payments 24/7, and let your students / clients enroll for your classes / sessions and choose from your fee payment plans. All automated in your app.
Set Up - Add classes / sessions
When you login for the first time, you will be asked if you would like to create a new class (in case of teachers) or a new session (in case of professionals) through the set-up wizard.
If you proceed, you will be taken to the set up page. You can also access the set up wizard from the side menu sidebar
menu > set up wizard
The set up wizard shall help you create a basic class / session and a corresponding fee payment plan where you collect the entire fees upfront, prior to starting the class / session.
However, if you collect your fees on a recurring basis over the period of the course; or if you would like to explore a few more options, like setting up a payment plan that applies to multiple classes / sessions or to offer bundles to your students / clients, access the ‘add class’ or ‘add plan’ features anytime you like, from the dropdown menu just below the calendar on the homepage.
You can also access these options from the
Sidebar menu > classes and Sidebar menu > student payment plans
Once you have set up a class, you can simply duplicate it the next time. Just go to Sidebar menu > classes and click on the dropdown next to the concerned class or session.
All you have to do is update the relevant fields like date and time and your new class or session is good to go. You need not fill in all the details again.
Private and Public Classes / sessions
When adding classes / sessions, you can choose to make them public or private. A public class / session will be visible to your entire network on the app (connected students / clients and parents) and they may choose to join it by paying your fees.
On the other hand, in case of a private class / session, you can invite specific students / clients to join it. It will be not be visible to any others on your network.
You can create a private class / session, for example, if you have a one-on-one appointment or if you offer extra coaching to select students only or if you wish to create a closed group for specific students / clients only.
Select ‘add class’ (‘add session’ in case of professionals’ to set it up. Mark your class / session as public or private and fill in the required details.
Recurring Classes / sessions
Your class / session may be a one-off or may recur. Switch the ‘recurring activity’ toggle button on or off accordingly and specify the timings to complete the set up!
Set Up - Add payment plans
Select ‘add plan’ to start adding your fee payment plans. Fill in the required details. Add GST (optional – it is automatically calculated at 18% should you choose to add it). You can also add any other charges you wish to. Also choose the mode of payment – online, offline or both.
Just like you can do for classes or sessions, once you have set up a payment plan, you can duplicate it the next time. So you need not type in all the details again. Access this feature from the dropdown next to the plan name from the sidebar menu > student (or client) payment plans
Validity of plan
Add the start and end dates to define the period for the validity of the plan. This means that the plan shall be valid / apply to classes / sessions during the defined time period only. By purchasing this plan, your students will be enrolled for only those classes / sessions scheduled during the defined period.
You can create one-time or recurring plans. One time plans continue till the end date and then expire. Recurring plans shall automatically renew as per interval chosen, till the defined end date, after which it shall expire.
In case your fee plan applies to a limited or fixed number of sessions only e.g. X amount for 12 sessions, fill in the max number of classes / sessions allowed under that plan and BUDDYGO will track the number of classes / sessions attended by your students / clients.
Private and Public Plans
Don’t forget to mark your plans as ‘public’ or ‘private’. Similar to public and private classes, a public plan will be seen by everybody on the platform. They will be able to pay for the plan and will be enrolled for the classes / sessions you have assigned to that particular plan.
A private plan, on the other hand, can be tagged only to a private class or session that you have set up and will be visible only to those whom you have invited to the said private class / session or appointment. Nobody else will be able to view or purchase this plan.
Add classes / sessions
Make sure you add (assign) classes / sessions to the plans, that you wish to be covered by that plan. You can even assign multiple classes / sessions to a single plan.
This means that by paying for a particular plan, your student / client can access and will be enrolled in all classes / sessions assigned to that plan.
Publish and Unpublish Plans
Finally, publish your plan. Your network will be able to view (and purchase) plans only once you publish them.
Conversely, once published, you have the option to unpublish the plan. Unpublished plans will no longer be visible to your students / clients.
Those who have already purchased the plan will not be affected, but no new student / client will be able to buy the plan.
You may unpublish a plan when you do not want any more enrolments the concerned class or session or you simply wish to discontinue or replace the plan.
Invite your students / clients or parents
After you add classes / sessions and payment plans, you are now ready to invite your students/clients / parents on the app. Send a link via the tab in the sidebar menu or copy and share the code mentioned on your profile page over WhatsApp, via SMS, emails, messenger etc.
Clicking on your link will direct users to download and register on the app. Your invitation link and code are unique to you, this allows users to connect to you and join your network. All your classes, sessions, payment plans, notices, etc will reflect in your student / client’s app.
Once they choose a payment plan, they will be directed to pay. Once the payment is complete, their calendar will automatically be updated for the classes / sessions they have paid for.
Collect your fees!
You may choose to receive your fees online through the app or offline (outside the app) or via both modes. Make this choice when you create the plan. In case you wish to accept online payments, be sure to add your bank account details in your profile.
Your students / their parents and clients will be able to pay you online through all major payment channels e.g. net banking, credit cards, UPI, etc. Your fees will be credited to your bank account on T+2 working days.
When your students / clients choose a payment plan, they will be directed to the payment link, and on completing their purchase, their schedule will be updated in sync with yours..
However if they opt to pay you offline, you must approve the requests. You may do so from the sidebar menu > payments. The student / client’s calendar will be updated only upon approval.
A record of payments can be viewed from sidebar menu > payments. You may also download a report from sidebar menu > metrics.
Drop-in students and demo classes
Not all your students / clients may be regular or repeat attendees . You may have students / clients who drop in for single classes / sessions or who join a short course, one-time appointments or attend one-off workshops that you may conduct. Such attendees may not wish to register on the app for what is likely to be a temporary engagement.
Instead of sending them your invite link, just use the ‘add new student’ (or ‘add new client’, in case of professionals) tab, from the dropdown next to the concerned class / session on the homepage, and add a few basic details. Your student / client will receive an SMS and/or email with class / session details. They will also be added to your student / client list. You will, therefore, have a complete record of all your attendees, regular and drop-in.
Plus, a login shall automatically be created for them so that if they wish to, they can download and sign in to the BUDDYGO app.
Say you would like to invite a drop-in student to more than one class, for example, a workshop you are conducting over a weekend or to a 5 day short course.
The first time you send out a drop in invite (through the ‘add new student’ tab, the invitee will be added to your list of students / clients.
The next time you wish to invite them, simply click on the ‘add existing student’ or ‘add existing client’ tab and select the user from a handy list. No need to send out another invite or fill in their details again.
In the same manner as detailed above, the tabs ‘add new student’ and ‘add existing student’ may also be used to offer demo classes to users.
If you click your name at the top of the sidebar menu, you will be directed to your profile page. Add your speciality & your social media handles so that users on your network can follow you online too. You can choose to allow your networkto view your profile or if you prefer, keep your profile locked.
In case you take classes / sessions online, add your meeting link to your profile as well, so the next time you set up a class /session, the details will be automatically picked up and you will not have to enter the information again.
Set your preferences for your app. Add your holiday dates here so that BUDDYGO can block your schedule for those dates.
Add and Edit Bank Details
Don’t forget to add your bank details to the profile, so that your students / clients can pay you online. Also add your address here, as it is required to be mentioned on the invoice we send you when you pay your app membership fees. You may edit your bank details at any time.
Schedule and functions
The calendar on then Homepage is your schedule for your upcoming classes / sessions. Customise the view as per your reference.
You can use the dropdown next to your scheduled class / session name to:
1) send last minute notifications (instructions) specific to that class / session
2) reschedule or cancel a class / session
3) add new or existing students / clients to offer the class / session as a demo/ free trial. This option can even work as a makeup session. Just click on ‘add existing student’

All of the above actions will be notified to the concerned students / clients as push & in-app notifications.
